So as I show up to cover a big rival soccer game I found this used condom on the playing field and I had to take a pic of it. lol. Anyways, back to the soccer, it was a physical game with lots of kids getting hurt but will all survive, plus they always make for dynamic images without trying to sound too heartless. Enjoy!
Believe it or not I wasn't assigned anything for the day. I'm scheduled late on Thursdays but in order to let everyone have a piece of the play-off pie I had to relinquish Game 3 for Game 4. So I went out with our intern to a soccer game.
So I had never really covered concerts much but I had a few ideas I wanted to tinker with along with producing a video for our on-line content. Well, as it turns out my speedlite went tits up on me (I seriously have no idea why) so here I am ISO maxed out and motor driving the piss outta my Mark II trying to stop action at a 40th of a second during head-banging. Well this is what I got.
Brandon here has had a rough life you could say. As a child he suffered major head trauma and had to re-learn math, english, how to ride a bike, etc. Then after 5 years of rehab he suffered another accident, he slipped off a cliff and broke his neck, now attached to a wheelchair for life Brandon starred in a Collin Raye music video and is speaking to audiences all around about challenges. Great kid, a bit too religious for my blood but inspiring to say the least. Oh and the truck was in the video hence the best portait I could come up with on 15 mins. of notice.
I came across a blog a photographer I had met back in 05 had created and while digging a bit deeper found that we knew many of the same people. While looking through his and other familiar faces' blogs I decided it was time to create my very own. Here's a self-portrait to start off with.
